We get so wrapped up in our lives and our work, we often forget to take time off. God commanded the people of Israel to take a day a week, called the Sabbath, for rest. It would be a regular, scheduled part of their life. They would rest that day, spend time with Him, and spend time with their family. When they accepted His gift of rest, he provided for their needs and refreshed them to continue their work.
